I like Beyond the back door. Does it face west because it would make an incredible shot if taken during a sunset?

thank you for the comment. it actually does face west, but that particular view is just shy of where the sun actually sets. just to the left and you hit a telephone pole :(

Try putting an interesting object in the foreground to obscure the telephone pole. You could use a statuette, flower head, person or toy as that object to get a silhouette effect with, perhaps, the light edging it. The other dimension to play around with is moonlight.
